This was classic bait and switch. The computer keyboard on this receipt was tagged on the shelf at substantive discount, but when I reached the checkout counter the price was much higher than the tagged price. The cashier blithely indicated that the computer is never wrong (referring to the computerized cash register and barcode scanner) and to take it to the manager. I did this. I directed the manager to the misleading price tag on the shelf, and she pointed me to the impossible-to-read fine print which indicated that the sale price had expired a week earlier. Why was the sale price still placed on the shelf? She scolded me for not reading the price tag more closely, and then she proceeded to leave that deceptive sale price tag on the shelf. Even being made aware of the problem Best Buy left the misleading sale price tag on the shelf. I now go to Best Buy to physically handle certain types of electronics before buying them online or anywhere else. Owner: sorabji
