I was fired from corporate in 2002, but since then I have received periodic reminders from this SHPS company informing me of how much money is available to me as part of a Transit Reimbursement Account. This TRA was (and evidently still is) a perk from the company that fired me, but this SHPS company that manages the benefits program remains unaware that I got whacked from the company and in all likelihood I no longer qualify for this perk. I have never attempted to submit any paperwork for a "reimbursement" but the more they send me these errant reminders the likelier I am to see if I can score a random $162. Something tells me the lawyers or accountants at SHPS would rise to anger when someone at that company finally figures out what's going on, and I would have to pay the money back.
